The Future Isn’t Looking Very Bright

A group of the world’s richest tech billionaires devise a plan for themselves to survive an inevitable apocalypse if humankind continues towards a path of destruction. The timeline jumped in a way that was difficult to follow and the perspective jumped so much it was hard to get attached to any one character. While the story was well written, it sometimes went off on long tangents and I would finish a chapter noticeably more confused then when I had started. They tried to weave in too many themes and as the story progressed it became less and less believable.

The Future held a lot of promise but ultimately I didn’t love Alderman’s vision.

I’m very grateful for @simonbooks #simonbooksbuddy for the free advanced copy of this book.
