September is library card signup month and it’s a great reminder of the importance of libraries in our communities and the invaluable resources they offer to advance literacy, guide learning, and inspire curiosity! You may be eligible for more than one library card depending on:

  • where you live

  • where you work

  • where you go to school

The Libby app is a virtual platform to download ebooks, audiobooks, magazines and newspapers. You can add multiple cards to your account to have more selection & increase your number of loans or holds. A loan is an item currently on your shelf that is available to read right now. Holds are items you are waiting in line for.

Ready to get started?

  1. Download the app (see details below)

  2. Get your library card handy

  3. Don’t have one yet? No problem, just follow the  prompts to your local library’s website. Some counties require you to go in person if it’s your first time but it depends

  4. Start browsing! some items will be ready to borrow & others may have a wait. The app will give you an estimated wait time based on your position in line
